Argerich everywhere
This year Queen Elizabeth turned 90, a birthday that’s being observed with suitably royal pomp and circumstance throughout Britain. But she’s not the only regal figure who has a special day in 2016 – the pianist whom many regard as the reigning queen of the keyboard, Martha Argerich, celebrates her 75th birthday on 5 June.

The legendary Argentinian pianist will spend her 75th performing (what else could she do?) in what looks to be an amazing concert in Berlin. Her partner in this enterprise is Daniel Barenboim, who conducts the Staatskapelle Berlin to accompany her in Beethoven Piano Concertos Nos 1 and 2 and then sits down at the keyboard to join her in Mozart’s Sonata in D for Two Keyboards, K448.

Buy Pianist!! You won't regret it.
This magazine has helped me improve as a pianist massively. The how-to-play articles are always so well thought-out. And there is SO much sheet music. An amazing magazine. I'd give it 11/10 if I could.
